Public Skating

Looking for something fun & exciting to do? Do you want to try something new? Need to work on developing your skating skills? Then our public skating session is for you!

Public Skate sessions are offered at a variety of days and times. 

Hockey

Adult Pay & Play
Pay & play hockey is available throughout the week during afternoon & evening hours. This offers adults (18 & older) an opportunity to play recreational hockey. All levels are invited.

Youth Pay & Play
Pay & play opportunities for different age levels are available throughout the week. This offers younger players to play with others (Mites thru Bantam).

Adult Hockey 101, 102 & 103 Clinics
Adult Hockey clinics will be put on throughout the year for aspiring adult hockey players. Please check back periodically to see if one is listed.

Adult Leagues
Join our very own Des Moines Area Adult Hockey League. The DMAAHL consists of a variety of skill level divisions.  Registration information can be found on our Hockey page here on our website.

Figure Skating Sessions

  • Expressive Edge Skating School

It’s GREAT to SKATE! Our learn to skate program offers fun and rewarding classes for all ages and abilities.  Sessions are offered Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.  Fees include skate rental, 30 minutes of quality group and 30 minutes of practice time.  Current session information is available by clicking our link.   • Figure Skating Freestyle Sessions

Metro Ice Sports Facility offers open freestyle and Moves in the Field sessions,

All coaches are welcome.  Fees are $10.00 per session with punch card and $15.00 drop in for freestyles and $5.00 for each Moves in the Field sessions.  Weekly schedules can be found by clicking the link. Weekly Schedule

Broomball
Organize a group to play broomball. Due to the amount of interest, Pay & Play broomball sessions are BACK!
